In my youth I was stricken with Perthes Disease and spent four years on crutches; I started playing the guitar; Electronics was a hobby and I assembled my electronic instruments from kits; I had a small Lionel train layout, and I flew model rockets and radio controlled airplanes. In my teens I restored Volkswagen cars and trucks and did musical theatre in High School; I started programming computers. As an adult I supported and raised a family; I had my own businesses; I rehabbed three houses; In my spare time I'd turn would-be firewood into decorative items on the lathe; I'm also connoisseur of malt whisky and I collect Scotch from shuttered distilleries. Today, my parents are gone, my girls are adults, and I'm not getting any younger. It's time for me to pursue the dreams I've set aside. |
